Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is not controlled properly will cause acute and chronic complications, complications are common chronic diabetic ulcers. One of the preventive efforts in diabetes mellitus patients who have chronic disease is to practice gymnastics leg to reduce the occurrence of complications. Knowledge and attitudes are needed for patients with diabetes mellitus in action dabetik foot gymnastics practice. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes to practice gymnastics diabetic foot in diabetes mellitus patients in hospitals KRMT Wongsonegoro Semarang. This research is a quantitative research design using analytical and observational study conducted cross sectional. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling this sample was 50 respondents. Spearman's rho test results obtained p value of less than 0.000 alpha value of 0.05 which means that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes toward the practice gymnastics diabetic foot in patients with diabetes mellitus. Recommendations from this study for nurses to provide knowledge on diabetes mellitus patients to be able to practice gymnastics optimal foot in foot gymnastics preventive measures so as to prevent complications Keywords : Diabetes mellitus, Knowledge, Attitude, gymnastics leg
