Abstract

Introduction: BMI (Body Mass Index) is the ideal weight and height according to particular formula. One of which is applying BMI formula by dividing weight (kg) and quadrate of height (meter). Aim: The effect of PROLANIS treatment towards BMI of patients with DM Type II in Puskesmas Banjardawa. Method: This study applied pre experimental design to analyze the tendency or causative existed due to particular treatment. The researcher employed One Grup Pretest-Postest design where one subject group are being observed before intervention (pretest). Result of the Study: The pretest result showed that the BMI of 26 (65,0%) patients with DM Type II were normal, while 28 patients (70,0%) of BMI Post Test were normal. This indicated that there was significant effect of PROLANIS treatment towards BMI of patients with DM Type II by the score of p value = 0,013 <  (0,05). Suggestion: The result of the study give the specific information about Prolanis effect towards patient’s BMI with DM Type II. Besides, it also can be a reference to another researcher to have the further study about PROLANIS in the future. Keywords: PROLANIS, Diabetes Mellitus, Body Mass Index
