Abstract
Leadership is fundamental in an organization. Leadership means government, holding power, a leader who can organize everything related to the organization or agency he leads to achieve a certain goal. Leaders in leading organizations have different. Leadership styles Each leader's leadership style provides a leadership method that can have a significant impact on performance creation. Transformational leadership is a popular leadership model today. Transformational leadership is a leadership that is applied with charismatic, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, idealistic influences, and individual considerations to produce efforts to organize and direct to be more effective in achieving goals. Lecturers in managing the class must have a transformational leadership style to create a conducive learning situation. The purpose of this study is to descibe of transformational leadership of medical surgical and emergency nursing lecturer in managing the class at Muhammadiyah University of Semarang. This research type is descriptive quantitative with descriptive observational design through survey approach. The number of samples are 95 respondents. the type of sample proportionale Stratified random sampling. The result of research of medical and surgical nursing lecturer from total of 95 respondents, 9 students (9.5%) stated that lecturers have good transformational leadership, 76 students (80,0%) stated that lecturers have enough transformational leadership, 10 students 10.5%) stated that lecturers have less transformational leadership.
