Abstract

Background: The success of an organization lies in the leadership style used in the organization. Each leader's leadership style provides a leadership method that can have a significant impact on performance creation. Transformational leadership is a popular leadership model today. Transformational leadership is a leadership that is applied with charismatic, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, idealistic influences, and individual considerations to result in greater effort, effectiveness, and satisfaction for subordinates. The purpose of this study is to obtain a picture of transformational leadership of nursing lecturer DKKD field in managing the class at the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang. Method: This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The number of samples is 55 respondents, with the sample type is not possible sampling with saturated sampling technique. Result: The results of nursing lecturers study in the field of Basic Nursing Department good category 5 people with percent (9,1%), enough category equal to 41 people with percent (74,5%) and category less 9 people with percent (16,4%).
