Abstract

Hypoglycemia is one acute complicationof Diabetes Mellitus that can decrease quality of life. Hypoglycemia was the condition of blood glucose level that are too low with less than its normal grade (60mg/dL), that is the reason hypoglycemia concluded as one of the most dangerous diabetes mellitus complication. As the high incident of hypoglycemia that caussed by lack of family social support. The purpose of this study was to correlate between family social support and incident of hypoglycemia in diabetes melitus.This study used correlation design with total 64 respondents which the age around 20-50 years old that lived in Kelurahan Sendangmulyo Semarang City. The result of this study showd that 40,6% respondent have low of family social support have hypoglycemia. The recommendation of this study for family to keep giving support to Diabetes Mellitus patiens so that the incident of hypoglycemia can be prevent.
