Abstract

Background : preceptor is an advisor or a nurse teacher. Soft skills are very important for everyone, especially students, because they will interact and socialize with the public after completing their studies on campus. Objective: To know the correlation between the interaction of preceptor with soft skill of practice students at Amino Gondohutomo Psychiatric Hospital Semarang. Method: The research used analytic correlation research with cross sectional approach. Result: Soft skill research and the relationship of interaction of preceptor with softskill of nursing practice students had significant relationship with correlation test result showed p value 0.0001 (p <0,05). Conclusion: In general it can be concluded that communication skills, leadership skills, critical thinking skills, lifelong learning skills, ethical skills, moral and professionalism, and teamwork skills, were in good category.
