Abstract

Atraumatic care is a form of therapeutic service performed by a nurse with actions that can reduce anxiety in pediatric patients who are in hospital care, with family social support, therapeutic care environment, and attentive nurse attitudes so it Will accelerate the healing process in pediatric patients. This study aims to determine the differences of nurse skills in implementing nursing atraumatic care RSUD K.R.M.T Semarang and Roemani hospital Semarang with cross sectional design. This study uses questioners. With 33 samples of nurses RSUD K.R.M.T Semarang and 15 sample nurses Roemani Hospital Semarang. The result of Independent T test statistic obtained p value of 0.00 (α = 0.05), so it is concluded there are differences in nurse skills in implementing nursing atraumatic care RSUD K.R.M.T Semarang and Roemani Hospital Semarang. The researcher suggests to nurse who work in hospital room to apply more the atraumatic care skill to patient to accelerate healing of patient and reduce anxiety and also stress at the time of hospitalization.
