Abstract

Background: Softkill was very influence to the success of someone because having hard skills is not enough in pay the world of work, just like with nurses. One of the factors that can improve the ability of nurse softskill is the good interaction of preceptor. Preceptor as a clinical counselor was recommended to be able to build communication with students so that through this good relationship will be able to assist students in improving softskill. Objective: The purpose of this research was to know the correlation between preceptor interaction with softskill of practice student at RS Roemani Semarang. Method: The design of this research is cross sectional approach. The respondents of this research are nursing students who perform clinical practice at RS Roemani Semarang. The sampling technique used was total sampling of 26 students. Result: The result of this research is perception which mostly felt is good that was 46,2%, softskill category was found to be the same between the less good and good category that is 50% respectively. The result of statistical test was the correlation between between the Preseption with Softskill practice students at RS Roemani Semarang, with a value of 0.048. Suggestion: Based on these results, the Nurse as a precursor was expected to build good interaction to students who do clinical practice so that the mentoring done by the nurse can be received well while helping to develop the ability of Softkill.
