Abstract

An ANC / Antenatal Care is an activity in the form of physical, psychological, fetal growth and preparing for the delivery process. The type of this research is Non-experiment using descriptive correlational research design using cross sectional approach. This study aims to determine the relationship between antenatal care visits with efforts to prevent danger in pregnancy in Candilama Semarang Health Center in 2017. Smpling technique using total sampling, the number of respondents as many as 51 respondents. The results showed there is a relationship antenatal care visits with efforts to prevent danger in pregnancy at Candilama Semarang Puskesmas (p = 0,00 <0,05). Through ANC, pregnant women can establish hazard prevention behavior before pregnancy and birth complications, such as nutrition fulfillment, dietary restriction, activity restriction, drug consumption, and other traditional efforts. For the next researcher can do research with qualitative research method to know more detail impact after pregnancy process. Keywords: ANC visit, hazard prevention in pregnancy
