Abstract

Family planning (KB) is one of theway to increase family resilience, mother and child safety, and family planning programs are conducted to regulate births. Three months injectable contraception is a non-long-term contraceptive method but injectable contraception becomes the majority choice of mothers. This influenced by several factors in choosing3 months injectable contraception such as age, education, income, occupation, knowledge, attitude, and distance. This research is non-experiment with descriptive correlation design and used cross sectional approach. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the mother to choose a 3 months injectable contraception in PT Starcam Indonesia Jepara with 142 respondents. The result showed that there was a correlation income (p value 0,029) and the distance (p value 0,00) with 3 months injectablrcontraception. There is no age relation (p value 0,051) education (p value 0,739), occupation (p value 0,74), knowledge (p value 0,904), and attitude (p value 0,904) with 3 months injectable contraception. From the results of this research there is a relationship between income and distance. The income from respondents were >1.350.000 or more so the better the income the more regular use of family planning, because it is more efficient and economical. The distance traveled to the family planning service is shorter and faster, the closer distancethe cheaper cost and energy are used. For health workers to improve the utilization of health services, officers should be more proactive by enabling posyandu, family planning service at work, and come from house to house for family planning services.
