Abstract
Background: Anemia is a health problem that frequently occur and spread throughout the world, especially in developing countries 3-4 times greater compared to developed countries and young women more susceptible to anemia. This study aims to determine factors related to the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls in SMA IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta. Method: Research population of all 10th grade 10th grade girls. Samples were taken by purposive sampling. The independent variable of knowledge, nutritional status, nutritional adequacy and dependent variable of anemia incidence. Type of observational analytic research, Cross sectional approach. Digital hb research instruments, questionnaires, weights (weight) and microtoise staturmeter (height). Statistical analysis with Chi square test. Results: The prevalence of anemia of adolescent girls in SMA IT Abu Bakar Yogyakarta amounted to 56.6%. Most young women have a good knowledge of anemia of 75.5% and a normal nutritional status (BMI) of 66%. Average energy consumption sufficiency rate 100,5%, protein 93,6%, iron 98,8%, vitamin A 95,6%, vitamin C 100,2%. There was no correlation between knowledge with anemia, nutritional status correlation with anemia, nutritional intake (energy, protein, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C) with anemia in female adolescent (p <0,05). Conclusion: There is no correlation between knowledge with anemia, there is relationship of nutritional status with anemia, there is relationship of nutrient intake (energy, protein, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C) with anemia.
