Abstract

Background: Work accident is an unforeseen and unexpected event that can cause loss of time, property, or property or casualties. Factors that cause work accidents are human factors (age, working period, education level, behavior, knowledge and fatigue), environmental factors (unsafe condition) and equipment factor (machine condition, machine safety and machine location). This study aims to analyze the relationship fatigue, unsafe condition and practice the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with work accident at PT. P on Hotel and Apartment Projects M Semarang. Method: This was an observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. The population is all workers at altitude and sampling technique using purposive sampling. Types of data used are primary data which includes fatigue data, workplace situation, and practice of using PPE worker by using questioner and secondary data that is data of number of worker. Results: The results of this study indicate the average worker age of 40 years, the average worker education SMP of 49.2%, the average worker working average 13,428 years, worker with fatigue 27 workers, working in unsafe place 25 workers, poor practice of APD usage that is 33 workers, the relationship fatigue with work accidents with p -Value 0,012, unsafe condition relationship with accidents Work with p-Value 0,014 and practice relationship of Personal Protective Equipment use (APD) with work accident with p-Value 0,025. Conclusion: There is relationship fatigue with work accident, there is relation of unsafe condition with work accident, there is relation of practice of usage of Personal Protective Equipment (APD) with work accident.
