Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the infusion inhibitory of red galangal (Alpinia purpurata K.Schum) and white galangal (Alpinia galangal W.) on growth C.albicans based on concentration of 5%b/v, 10%b/v, 15%b/v, 20%b/v, and 25%b/v. C.albicans was obtained from mucosal mouth swabs of thrushes patient. Red galangal dan white galangal was obtained from agricultural in the village Dudakawu Jepara. This study began with the isolation of the fungus, subsequently making red galangal and white infusa and antifungal activity test. Antifungal activity testing performed by diffusion/well. The results showed that infusion of red galangan and white galangal on concentration 15%, 20%, and 25% capable of inhibiting the growth of C.albicans.
