Abstract

Health laboratory services that serve the examination that support the diagnosis of disease or patient healing monitoring, the parameters of service quality was one of the stabilization of laboratory quality, consisting of pre analytics, analytic and post analytic. Sample handling, patient preparation included in preanalytic. One of the samples used for the examination was serum derived from venous blood and then centrifuged and blood would be separated. Blood glucose tests also use serum samples when using a spectrophotometer. On examination of blood sugar, serum pending examination will affect the value of blood sugar because there was a process of glycolysis by blood cells and bacteria. This study used analytical method which was aimed to know the difference of blood glucose while with three sample handling, the way of handling 1 serum sample was examined immediately, the way of 2 serum treatment was separated and delayed 2 hours at room temperature then examined, the 3 serum treatment was not separated and delayed 2 hours At room temperature then checked. The subjects were 28 students of AAK Anasher level 2A with serum samples from venous blood. Statistical analysis using one way anova with significance 0,05 obtained F arithmetic 9,945> F table 3,109 with significance 0,00 <0,05.
