Abstract
Chronic kidney disease is a decrease in glomerular filtration rate up to 20-25%. The kidneys work to regulate the stability of uric acid levels in the body and remove residual uric acid through urine. Decreased kidney function will inhibit excretion of metabolic waste and cause increased uric acid levels. Decrease in kidney function in patients with CKR differs significantly affecting the ability of excretion. The purpose of this study to determine the picture of uric acid levels in the blood in patients with chronic renal failure. The type of research is descriptive, total population sampling technique, with sample number 30 patients with chronic renal failure, then sample of the study was taken venous blood sempel to check uric acid levels. The results showed that majority of patients aged 51-60 years have a more than normal uric acid of 11 respondents (84.6%). The sex of patients with CKR majority of men and have uric acid levels more than normal that is 19 respondents (86,4%). Patients with CKR most have uric acid levels more than normal as much as 86.67% and the remaining 13.33% have normal uric acid levels. Research can be concluded that most patients with CKR have a result of abnormal uric acid examination Keywords: Uric Acid, Patients with CKR
