Abstract

The Statistical Center of 2016 says, that Indonesia is ne of the countries with the highest young marriage rates in the Eastern and Pasific areas of Asia. Young marriage have the risks, one of them is low the hemoglobin levels. Low levels of hemoglobin in pregnant women can lead to miscarriage , prematurity, prolonged labor, bleeding and shock. The normal levels of hemoglobin for pregnant women is 11 g/dL. The normal levels of hemoglobin for pregnant women are required to monitor the development of fetus, so as not to be disturbed and to know the risks of bleeding during childbirth. This research aims to describe hemoglobin levels in pregnant women age less than 20 years old. This research is deskriptive with case study methode. This research was conducted on 24 pregnant women under 20th years old of third trimester got result 66,7% had below normal hemoglobin levels, and 33,3% had normal hemoglobin levels with the mean is 10,6 g/dL. The conclusion oof this study is hemoglobin levels in pregnant women age under 20 years old is low under 11 g/dL. Keywords: hemoglobin levels, pregnant women under 20th years old.
