Abstract

Background: Based on a preliminary study conducted on March 24th, 2018 in Mangkang Wetan RW III by interviewing directly to 10 girls, 9 of them have not known what is meant about the reproduction health, and 3 of them still behave in a wrong way with the vulva hygiene, and 2 of them complaining of itching and vaginal discharge at the post-flood disaster in Mangkang Wetan RW III Semarang City. Purpose: To find out the descriptive of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of teenage girls of age 14-16 years in health reproduction handling (Vulva Hygiene) at the post-disaster. Methods: This study is descriptive research with cross-sectional approach. The number of population is 21 teenage girls with the samples are 21 respondents by using questionnaires. The sampling technique by saturation method. Results: The acknowledgment of 21 respondents on the handling of reproductive health in a good category as many as 18 respondents (86%) and in a low category as many as 3 respondents (14%). The attitude 21 respondents about the handling of reproductive health in a positive category as many as 12 respondents (57%) while 9 respondents (43%) in the negative category. Negative behaviors include the use of underwear in turns with friends and family, and the lack of knowledge about cloth pads is very good for reproductive health. The behavior of 21 respondents on the handling of reproductive health in the supporting category as many as 12 respondents (57%) and refused category as many as 9 respondents (43%). The behavior that does not support is the use of water in a bucket at a public restroom. Conclusions: The teenage girls aged 14-16 years in Mangkang Wetan RW III have a good knowledge, positive attitude, and supporting behavior about vulva hygiene at the post-flood disaster.
