Abstract

Background:In 2016, Indonesia recorded 14 million menopause women or 7.4% of the total population.The average age of menopause in Indonesia is 48 years. The menopause phase is a symptom in a woman's life which is signed by the cessation of the menstrual cycle.Menopause is a natural phase in every woman’s life who signs the end of the fertile period.In this study, there were 39 menopausal women in RW 02 BangetayuKulon Village. Purpose: To find out the factors affecting menopause in women. Methods: This study was descriptive research with cross-sectional approach. The number of population is 39 of menopausal women, the number of samples was 39 respondents with total sampling technique. Data analysis used univariate. Results: Most respondents who do not have jobs were 23 (59.0%) and those who have jobs 16 (41.0%).Most respondents were multiparous 29 (74.4%), and the lowest were nulliparous 2 (5.1%) and primipara 2 (5.1%).All respondents did not smoke. Most respondents were married 32 (82.1%) and widow status 7 (17.9%). The majority of respondents used 3 months of injectable contraception as much as 15 (3%).Menarche respondents age mostly 13-14 years (38.5%).Conclusions: Women who experienced menopause mostly had no jobs, multiparous, 3 months injecting contraception users, married status, average age of menarche 13-14 years, age 45-55 years.
