Abstract

Soursop fruit does offer a variety of positive ingredients for human health, starting from the fruit, leaves, even the tree. It has been widely known that soursop fruit contains lots of vitamin C, fiber content and other important nutrients contained in many fruits found in this tropical country Juice therapy soursop for elderly women affects the decrease in uric acid levels by helping uric acid excretion through urine. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving soursop fruit juice to elderly people who experienced uric acid levels in Kedungsari , RW 08 Rowosari Tembalang District, Semarang City. This type of research is descriptive study that is applying case studies with the nursing process in the form of intervention, implementation and evaluation. The case study subjects amounted to 2 clients, The research place was conducted in Kedungsari Hamlet RW 08 Rowosari Tembalang District, Semarang City. As a result of the application of soursop fruit juice therapy which was applied for three days, both clients' uric acid levels decreased. That proves that soursop fruit juice is effective in reducing excess uric acid levels in the blood. It is recommended for nurses or hospitals, to consider giving therapy for soursop fruit juice to patients with gout. Keywords: Soursop, Gout, Elderly
