Abstract

Cases of anemia in Indonesia there are 19.7% women, 13.1% of men and 9.8% of children who are anemic (Riskesdas 2007). The prevalence of anemia in adolescent 11.27%. Number of anemia in July of 2013 in adolescent girls in junior high school in the District Karangawen is as much as 138 children with the highest cases in Junior High School 1 Karangawen of 80 cases. The aim of research to determine the relationship of the instructions for the action (cues to action) with the prevention of anemia in adolescent girls. Descriptive research analytical research using cross sectional design. The study population was grader VII to IX grade as many as 460 people. A sample of 213 people with a sampling technique using proportional stratified random sampling. The results obtained by mass media campaign about anemia disease in teenage girls mostly positive as many as 140 respondents (65,7%). Family members about the disease anemia in adolescent girls is largely positive as much as 180 respondents (84.5%). Prevention of anemia in adolescent girls is largely a good total of 110 respondents (51.6%). There is a correlation with the mass media campaign prevention of anemia in adolescent girls. There is a correlation with a family member's illness prevention of anemia in adolescent girls. Expected for the Health Department to further improve education about anemia and appealed to the youth to make breakfast every day so that the incidence of adolescent anemia can be overcome.
