Kata Kunci: LKPD, Pendekatan STEM, Berpikir Kritis, Pola Bilangan Proses Pembelajaran yang baik tentunnya memiliki komponen pendukung pembelajaran dan perencanaan yang matang. Salah satu komponen pendukung berlangsungnya proses pembelajaran yaitu melalui peran bahan ajar yang tepat. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di kelas VIII A didapatkan belum adanya bahan ajar yang dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah secara tingkat tinggi, khususnya materi pola bilangan dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman secara rinci pada soal, belum bisa mengidentifikasi model dalam soal matematika, serta hasil belajar peserta didik banyak yang belum tuntas. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan bahan ajar yang menarik dan mampu menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Bahan ajar tersebut berupa LKPD dengan pendekatan STEM. Bahan ajar dikolaborasikan dengan pendekatan yang sesuai untuk mendukung keterampilan pembelajaran abad 21. LKPD dirancang untuk membantu peserta didik memahami materi dan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan LKPD pendekatan STEM untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik materi pola bilangan kelas VIII yang valid, praktis, dan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Metode penelitian LKPD menggunakan model pengembangan modifikasi Thiagarajan 4D (3D) terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu define, design, dan development. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dengan observasi, wawancara, angket, dokumentasi, dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N 2 Sayung. Hasil penelitian LKPD oleh ahli media dan materi memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 3,65 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD sangat valid. Penerapan LKPD pendekatan STEM praktis dengan memperoleh rata-rata peserta didik dan guru sebesar 3,59, sehingga disimpulkan LKPD praktis digunakan. Penerapan LKPD pendekatan STEM mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, hal ini dapat dilihat melalui nilai rata-rata uji Paired Sample T-Test skor pre-test dan post-test nilai Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 Ho ditolak atau Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata hasil belajar matematika sebelum dan sesudah diberikannya LKPD berpendekatan STEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dengan pendekatan STEM yang dihasilkan sangat layak, sangat praktis untuk digunakan, dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas VIII materi pola bilangan. Saran dari penelitian ini agar LKPD dapat digunakan sebagai referensi mengajar materi pola bilangan dan pengembangan pada materi lainnya. ABSTRACT Miftahunida, Firda Aisa. 2023. Keywords: LKPD, STEM Approach, Critical Thinking, Number Pattern A good learning process certainly has supporting learning components and careful planning. One of the supporting components of the learning process is through the role of appropriate teaching materials. Based on observations in class VIII A, it was found that there was no teaching material that could facilitate students' critical thinking skills. The low ability of students to solve problems at a high level, especially number pattern material due to lack of detailed understanding of the problem, have not been able to identify models in mathematical problems, and many students' learning outcomes are not complete. Therefore, teaching materials that are interesting and able to foster critical thinking skills are needed. The teaching material is in the form of LKPD with a STEM approach. Teaching materials are collaborated with appropriate approaches to support 21st century learning skills. LKPDs are designed to help students understand the material and are tailored to their needs. The purpose of this study was to develop a STEM approach LKPD to improve the critical thinking skills of 8th grade number pattern material that is valid, practical, and able to improve students' critical thinking skills. The LKPD research method uses a modified Thiagarajan 4D (3D) development model consisting of three stages, namely define, design, and development. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, questionnaire, documentation, and critical thinking skills test. The research subjects were VIII grade students of SMP N 2 Sayung. The results of LKPD research by media and material experts obtained an average of 3.65 so it can be concluded that LKPD is very valid. The application of the STEM approach LKPD is practical by obtaining an average of 3.59 students and teachers, so it is concluded that the LKPD is practical to use. The application of the STEM approach LKPD is able to improve critical thinking skills, this can be seen through the average value of the Paired Sample T-Test test pre-test and post-test scores Sig. (2- tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05 Ho is rejected or Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the average mathematics learning outcomes before and after the STEM-approached LKPD is given. The results showed that the LKPD with the STEM approach produced was very feasible, very practical to use, and could improve the critical thinking skills of VIII grade students on number pattern material. Suggestions from this study that LKPD can be used as a reference for teaching number pattern material and development on other materials.
