Abstract

Pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah merupakan pemeriksaan yang dilakukan bagi penderita Diabetes Mellitus (DM) untuk menegakkan diagnosis serta memonitor terapi dan timbulnya komplikasi, dengan demikian perkembangan penyakit dapat dimonitor. Pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor terkait pasien dan faktor terkait dengan laboratorium antara lain persiapan pasien meliputi kondisi fisik, diet, konsumsi obat-obatan dan lama puasa. Pasien diminta berpuasa 10-12 jam bila periksa laboratorium yang mewajibkan puasa, jika hanya periksa glukosa darah puasa saja cukup berpuasa 8 jam. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan kadar glukosa darah puasa 8 jam dan 12 jam pada pasien diabetes mellitus. Jenis penelitian adalah analitik. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dari 16 pasien rawat inap RSUD dr. Soewondo Kendal yang bersedia terlibat dalam penelitian. Pasien diminta berpuasa 8 jam, kemudian diambil darahnya, dilanjutkan berpuasa hingga 12 jam dan diambil darahnya lagi. Pemeriksaan glukosa darah dilakukan menggunakan Hematology analyzer. Kadar glukosa darah puasa 8 jam pasien DM rerata 226,50 mg/dl, dan kadar glukosa darah puasa 12 jam rerata 213,38 mg/dl. Hasil pemeriksaan memperlihatkan bahwa kadar glukosa darah puasa 12 jam lebih rendah dibanding kadar glukosa darah puasa 8 jam. Uji statistik Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai kemaknaan 0,000 dengan taraf kemaknaan 0,05 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan bermakna antara kadar glukosa darah puasa 8 jam dan 12 jam pada pasien DM Tipe 2. Kata kunci : glukosa darah puasa, 8 jam, 12 jam The examination of blood glucose level is an examination which performed for Diabetes Mellitus (DM) patients to diagnose and monitor the therapy and incidence of complications, thus the disease progression can be monitored. The examination of blood glucose can be influenced by patient-related factors and laboratory-related factors including patient preparation in physical condition, diet, medication consumption and fasting duration. Patients are requested to fast for 10-12 hours if laboratory check is required to fasting, if only check the fasting blood glucose alone, fasting 8 hours is enough. The research goal was to know the difference of 8 hours and 12 hours fasting blood glucose level on diabetes mellitus patients. The research type is analytic. The sample was obtained from 16 inpatients of RSUD dr. Soewondo Kendal is willing to involved in the research. Patients were asked to fast for 8 hours, then they blood was taken, continued with fasting for up to 12 hours and they blood was taken again. The blood glucose examination was performed using Hematology analyzer. Fasting blood glucose level of 8 hours DM patients was averaged 226.50 mg / dl, and fasting blood glucose level of 12 hours was averaged 213.38 mg / dl. The examination result showed that fasting blood glucose of 12 hours was lower than fasting blood glucose level of 8 hours. Wilcoxon statistic test showed a significance value of 0.000 with significance level of 0.05, so it was concluded that there was a significant difference between fasting blood glucose levels of 8 hours and 12 hours on DM type 2 patients.
