Abstract

The screening of liver function includes the examination of HBsAg levels and levels of Enzyme Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT). Liver cells have a function as a metabolic center of various substances such as bilirubin, cholesterol or bile acids, liver cells are able to secrete enzymes, bilirubin and coagulation factors. if the liver is affected by disease caused by virus, fatty or alcohol then liver function will weaken both metabolism function, excretion function and synthesis function. The aim of this research is to know the relationship between HbsAg level and Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) Enzyme level in Hepatitis B patient in Ambarawa Public Hospital. The type of research is analytical research with Cross Sectional approach. Samples were taken from all of the total population of Hepatitis B patients in Ambarawa General Hospital. Each sample was examined HbsAg levels and Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) Enzyme Level. Testing in this research using statistical test of rank spearment correlation. The results of this study showed that the coefficient value of HbsAg variable with Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) level of 0.965 with a significance of 0.000 so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between HbsAg level and Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) Enzyme. Keywords: HbsAg, Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) Enzyme, Hepatitis B
