Abstract

Blood glucose examination at RS.Panti Wilasa "Dr.Cipto" Semarang uses two methods: Hexokinase with Biolis 24i and POCT tools using Optium tool. The Hexokinase method is used for all blood glucose examinations, but in emergencies and to obtain rapid results using the POCT method. The problem in this research is the assumption from the clinician that blood glucose examination using POCT method is not accurate. The purpose of this research is to see how big difference between Biolis 24i Hexokinase method and POCT Optium method. The results will provide a better reference in blood glucose examination. Mean of blood glucose level of Biolis 24x 178,95 with Biochemistry 23,777 and average blood glucose level of POCT Optium method 178,70 with SD 22,244. Based on these data obtained average blood glucose levels are almost the same. Paired T-Test test known p value of blood glucose level of Biolis 24i Hexokinase method and POCT Optium method is 0586 bigger than α (0,05) mean Ho accepted and Ha rejected which mean no difference of blood glucose level Biolis 24i Biochemical Method and POCT method of POCT Optium method. The difference between the Biolis 24i Hexokinase method and the Optium POCT method is the method used in the POCT Optium method using the Hexokinase enzyme method using a specific enzyme that is glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PDH) associated with NADPH into 6-phosphogluconate. NADPH absorbance is available in UV region (334, 340 or 365 nm). Glucose-6-PDH (G-6-PDH) is exclusive to glucose-6-phosphate, ie fructose and phosphorylated mannose not included in the indicator reaction. Different levels / no numbers in Biolis 24i Hexokinase method and POCT Optium method because the specimen used is venous blood Possible conditions in the pre analytic phase can be removed. The POCT Optium method has used a system that is only performed when a person has used less blood. The POCT Opticum method also eliminates non-governmental disorders by way of Biolis 24i Hexokinase is not frankose and manosa does not participate in the reaction. Keywords: blood glucose, Biolis 24i hexokinase method, POCT Optium method
