Abstract

Thalassemia is a heredity disease which it can damaged to globin composition. Erythrocytes experience color and shape damage. Damage to globin preparation will affect Hb levels in the blood, because Hb is composed of heme and globin. Eritroxy morphological damage will affect Ht levels in the blood, because the volume of erythrocytes will be affected in filling the space per 100 mL of blood. The aim of this research was to find out the relationship hb and ht levels on thalassemia’s patients. The examination by using hematology analyzer method. Kind of the research is analytic research. The sample was taken based on Roscoe theory in Sugiyono with minimal10 times from variable amounts. There are two variables form 20 all samples 10% was reserved from 22 samples. The data which examined with using Pearson Product Moment with SPSS program. The result showed that there is strong relationship with value p=0.000 Signivicant value p<0.5 the mount of 0.927 and positive direction relationship, so it can be concluded decreasing hb levels of thalassemia’s patients, it also give impact to decrease hematocrit level. Keywords: thalassemia, hemoglobin, hematocrit
