Abstract

LCS protein levels can be examined using the Pandy method and dip dye method. In the pandy method it is sensitive to detect albumin and globulin proteins, while the dye method is sensitive to albumin and insensitive to detect globulin. Checking the Pandy method has problems observing turbidity. The purpose of this examination was to compare differences in levels of LCS protein using the Pandy method and dip method. This type of research is analytical research. A sample of 25 were obtained from outpatients and inpatients from dr. Kariadi Semarang during January-February 2018 as many as 25 samples were taken according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data on Shapiro-Wilk test method and Wolcoxon test. The result of examination of the LCS protein content of Pandy method showed the lowest negative (-) and highest positive (+) result, while the lowest dipping method obtined the lowest negative (-) and the highest positive 4 (++++). The normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test showed the significance value in the Pandy method was 0,000;<0,005, while the dipstick method was 0,001;<0,005 and the Wilcoxon different test showed 0,001;<0,005.The result of the LCS protein content examination using the Pandy method and dip dye method were different, so that Pandy method and the dye dip method could be used as an alternative to check the LCS protein levels, because the conformity value was <0,005.
