Abstract
Background: Lead ( Pb ) is metal weight of a nature toxins that affect environment and health human originated from exhaust emissions vehicles . Work tire patch is something work the informal sector usually make use of sidewalk or shoulder Street as the place work which is very susceptible to exposure lead . Aim research this for knowing factors related with levels lead ( Pb ) on hair workers tire patch in the area Mugas city of Semarang. Method: Type of research this quantitative analytic with approach cross sectional. Population whole workers tamb l the tires in the area Mugas the city of Semarang as many as 44 workers , all of them investigated . Independent variables include age , years of service and length of work . The statistical analysis used was chi-square . Result: Based on univariate analysis of age category of adolescents as much as 36.4% and adult as much as 63.6%. The category of working period is not risky as much as 47.7% and working period with risk category as much as 52.3%. Good old category of work as much as 40.9% and work period with poor category as much as 59.1%. Based on bivariate analysis result obtained age p value 0,002, service p value 0,000 and length of work p value 1,000. Conclusion: Variables related to levels lead on hair is age and years of service. Keywords: Lead Level (Pb) on hair tire repair worker in Mugas area Semarang
