Abstract

Background: Postpartum period is very important because it is the critical period for the mother and the baby. The biggest causes of MMR in Indonesia are bleeding (28%), infection (11%), and eclampsia (24%). The failure of the breastfeeding process can be due to a breast abscess. Purpose: Giving midwifery care for postpartum to Mrs. D PIII A0 aged 42 years with breast abscess. Method: This study is used a method of obtaining data that is used with the main purpose to create an overview of the situation objectively. Result: Midwifery care has been given to Mrs. D and the implementation has done according to the plan and has been matched with the problem. According to the midwifery diagnosis, there is no gap between the theory and the case. Evaluation on the day 42 of postpartum, the mother has getting better. Conclusion: From the Mrs. D’s case, there is no gap between theory and the case. The mother is well, and able to give breastfeeding to her baby which is the source of food for the baby.
