Abstract
Background: Newborn (neonatal) mortality is still a health problem. The number of cases of infant mortality in Indonesia in 2017 in the first semester was 10,294 cases. The infant mortality rate in Pekalongan Regency in 2016 was 85 cases, the cause of death due to asphyxia was 35 cases. Asphyxia can cause serious and fatal organ damage to newborns. From the data in the Buaran District Health Center Pekalongaan infant mortality is also still high in 2017 there are 1 cases and infant mortality (neonatal) caused by asphyxia. Objective: Giving midwifery care to By. Mrs. A with Moderate Asphyxia At Public Health Center Of Buaran , Pekalongan Regency with varney midwifery management Method: This Final Project Report is a case study report using descriptive methods. Location in Buaran Health Center, the subject is By. Mrs. A with moderate asphyxia and documentation using 7 steps of Varney and SOAP Outcome: idwifery care that has been given to By. Mrs. A is resuscitation, placing O2 1 liter / minute and caring for the baby in an incubator. After resuscitation By. Mrs. A cry then treated in an incubator. By. Mrs. A goes home with good health on July 12, 2018. Conclusion: Midwifery care in By. Mrs. A is carried out quickly and correctly so as to prevent severe asphyxia. There is a gap between the theory and the case, namely in the planning of giving therapy, giving a 10% 550 cc / 24 hour D infusion, 2 liters / minute O2, 1x125 mg cefotaxim, while infusion and cefotaxim therapy were not given because the baby was crying strongly.
