Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease is a disease caused by chronic kidney disorders that require hemodialysis therapy. Patients with chronic renal failure experience loss of protein through the urine causing a decrease in serum albumin levels (hypoalbuminemia) so that hemodialysis therapy is needed. This study aims to determine differences in albumin levels just before hemodialysis and shortly after hemodialysis in patients with chronic renal failure. The study sample was chronic kidney patients in August 2018 who underwent hemodialysis therapy 2 times a week as many as 45 people. Spearman rank test results showed that there was a difference in albumin levels just before hemodialysis and shortly after hemodialysis in patients with chronic renal failure with ρ value 0.018 <α: 0.05.
