Abstract

Triglycerides is one of fat who are in the body and packed in the form of lipoprotein in the blood, used to provide energy for the body in various metabolic processes and have the role that is almost the same with carbohydrates. Examination triglycerides can be done by a sample of serum is sample and plasma, a sample of serum is and plasma having characteristics different and that serum does not contain fibrinogen but other substances still is in it and plasma is blood was added to an anticoagulant so as to cause erythrocytes shriveled and cause enzymatic reactions examination triglycerides imperfect.The purpose of this research is to know the difference of the results examination levels triglycerides a sample of serum is and plasma edta.The kind of research this is analytic with a population and samples to be taken in this research was 16 outpatients at the Hospital Bhayangkara Semarang.The triglycerides examined with a method of gpop-pa, to knows the difference triglycerides serum and plasma use test normality namely test Shapiro wilk so obtained the results of investigation triglycerides serum and plasma edta berdistribusi normal . The results of the study obtained rerata triglycerides serum 172 mg/dl highest , 51 mg/dl lowest , rerata triglycerides plasma 153 mg/dl highest , 44 mg/dl lowest .The results of the study then analyzed by statistical tests paired sample t test obtained the results P = 0,001 ≤ 0,05 so that Ho rejected. Concluded that there is a difference in significant at the results of investigation triglycerides a sample of serum is and plasma edta. Password: levels triglycerides, serum, plasma edta
