Abstract

Platelet is component of blood, that has an important role to therapy bleeding due to thrombocytopenia, where the number of platelet in the body < 50.000/uL, whereas the normal value about 150.000 – 400.000/uL. Platelet is made with 2 way, that is separation of whole blood and apheresis system (by machine). The obtain TC and trombopheresis, both have difference in volume of yield, and quality of platelet.Six TC equivalent 1 trombopheresis, but during transfusion 6 TC is less able to raise platelet count was significantly reduced, and often cause transfusion reactions for patients. Purpose of research was to know platelet count of patient pre and post transfusion 6 TC and 1 trombopheresis. This is an descriptive research in order to describe platelet count of patient post transfusion 6 TC and 1 trombopheresis. Populasi is all of patient based on the medical records who got transfusion 6 TC and 1 thrombopheresis in RSUP Dr Kariadi 1 January – 31 May 2016, the each of samples is 20 patient. The statistict descriptive showed the average of platelet count pre and post transfusion 6 TC are 32.38 and 45.06, pre and post transfusion 1 thrombopheresis are 23.38 and 58.61.
