Abstract

The examination creatinine is an important blood chemistry examination. This examination should use a serum sample, but because of the condition at RSU Ra KartiniJepara who did sampling in the morning before visite physician in the disease, then the creatinine follow-up examination was done using plasma from blood samples that have been taken. This type of research is analytical. This research was conducted in laboratory of RSUD Ra Kartini Jepara with a population of RSUD Ra Kartini patients. Samples were taken by purposive sampling as many as 16 patients of RSUD Ra Kartini Jepara who examined the creatinine level with serum and plasma EDTA samples by method Jaffe. Results are tested with Wilcoxon. Based on the research, the results of creatinine levels with average serum samples of 3.69 in the average plasma sample 3.38 lower than the serum sample. Wilcoxon statistic test showed significant value 0.102 ≥0,05 so it can be concluded there is no significant difference between serum and plasma EDTA. Keywords : creatinine, serum, plasma EDTA
