Abstract

Urine glucose tests can be done by several methods, as examples of methods that can be used the method of Benedict and strip bags. The purpose of this study to determine differences in the results of urine glucose levels dip strip method and benedict and analyze differences in urine glucose tests strips methods and methods benedict. This type of research is analytic research. Sample was taken by purposive sampling for 5 days in patients who check urine routine with positive urine glucose results between the months of December 2016 until January 2017 in the Clinical Laboratory Prodia Jepara, then the samples will be examined using both ways. The results showed the average results of urine glucose tests strips immersion method 555 mg / dL, while the average results of urine glucose tests methods Benedict 458.33 mg / dL. Test for normality using the Shapiro-Wilk statistical test showed that both methods significantly 0,000. This indicates that these are not normal. Statistics Wilcoxon test showed significant value of 0.020 with significance level of 0.05 is 0.020 <0.05 so that it can be concluded that there is a difference between the method of urine glucose tests strips of dyed and methods Benedict Keywords: Method of examination, urinary glucose levels
