Abstract

Scabies is the disease contagious skin caused by sarcoptes scabei variant hominis. Complaints of itching especially at night characterized by the presence of red spots, papules, vesicles, urticaria, and krista. Factors the disease namely the levels of low socioeconomic, cleanliness someone who bad, environmental not clean, lack of awareness of someone would cleanliness, a population density of, and of contact directly or indirectly to the patient scabies. Research aims to understand incidence scabies in a Islamic Boarding School X Regional Genuk Semarang. Population in research is santri in Islamic Boarding School X Regional Genuk Semarang.The sample 42 santri then interviews were conducted obtained 7 santri indicated by the next scabies done the act of the skin scrapings to examined with a microscope of magnitude 400x. The results of the study obtained 6 ( 14 % ) santri positive scabies with find any S. scabiei on skin scrapings preparations and 36 santri ( 86 % ) proven a negative result scabies .
