Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder which hyperglikemi is the main characteristic. One of the problem on controlling diabetes mellitus is the low of knowledge. However the low of knowledge will influence a wrong dietary habit. This research using correlation design with the cross sectional approach. The result of this statistic non parametric correlation spearman research got a rank 0,000 with the rho -0,700, So we can conclude that there was a significant correlation between knowledge levels of diabetes mellitus with blood sugar levels. With the cross section, it means that a good knowledge will decrease blood sugar levels. For the relevant institution (puskesmas) they can increase the knowledge through health education about management or dietary therapy of diabetes mellitus.
