Abstract

The development of preschool children begins with physical, intellectual and self-confident development. In this condition, parents are very important because parents are the closest individuals and have the longest time in interacting with children. Styles provide stimulation in children will greatly affect the development of the next child. The purpose of this study was to describe of mother's ability to stimulate psychological development of preschoolers children in mountainous areas in purbo village bawang district batang regency. The design of this research is a mix method by combining quantitative and qualitative research. The population of this research is all mothers who have preschool age children in Purbo Village mountain area Bawang Subdistrict Batang Regency as many as 47 people. The results obtained all respondents are able to provide good stimulation to children. Based on these results, mothers who have children at the age of pre-school is expected to bridge children regularly and provide attention to children with stimulation bekaitan with social culture, environment and so forth, and attention to patterns of play and children socialize well.
