Abstract
Hypertension is an abnormal increase in blood pressure in the arteries that can cause damage to the organs of the cardiovascular system, especially blood vessels in the kidneys. Chronic high blood pressure and uncontrolled can cause small blood vessels in the kidneys to narrow and harden that causing a decrease in kidney function. The kidneys work to excrete the body's metabolic waste products, one of which is urea. Stacking urea can be toxic to the body. The test indicator of kidney function tests one of which is the check up of the urea levels. The aim of research to describe urea levels in patients with hypertension based on the degree of hypertension at age less than or more than 50 years of both women and men. This type of research is descriptive. Samples were taken by simple random sampling as many as 33 persons performing the examination at the BPJS Clinical of Mangkang. Urea inspection methods are enzymatic. The results, 33 respondents obtained 1 women younger than 50 years old have urea levels are low, 14 women and 13 men have normal urea levels, 1 women younger than 50 years old have high urea levels, 2 women and 2 men over age 50 have high urea levels.
