Abstract

Background: Based on 2010 the number of hypertensive patients was 352 elderly. In 2011, there were 446 elderly people and in 2012 there were 598 elderly people with hypertension while in January-May 2013 there were 482 elderly hypertensive patients. The incidence of hypertension shows that hypertension is the main priority of health problems that occur. This hypertension for the community is very important to be prevented and treated. This is because it can trigger the occurrence of a stroke that is damage to blood vessels in the brain. Research method: In this study the authors used the descriptive study method by using the nursing approach process. The subjects in this case study were clients with hypertension. Presentation of data by using material analysis content by comparing theories with facts found on clients. Overview: Time for taking the case 12 - 19 March 2018. The place for this research was taken at the Jati Kudus Community Health Center. Method of research by giving tomato juice for 1 week, blood pressure checks at the beginning of the study and after giving tomato juice therapy. Conclusion: From the results of the study of tomato juice therapy for 1 week to clients with hypertension, the results obtained that tomato juice therapy has an impact on blood pressure reduction in clients with hypertension.
