Abstract

Background: Losing appetite is a condition in which the individuals experience eating desire and reject certain foods. It is found that the losing appetite prevalence which is suffered by the pre-schooled children aged 2-3 years is 97.2%. Tui Na massage is an alternative for increasing the toddlers’ appetite as it can ease the blood circulation on the liver and digestion system by modifying a needleless acupuncture technique. Tui Na massage technique is a technique which focuses the meridian points or the energy streamline as the focus of the massage pressing points. This technique is easier than the acupuncture. Objective: This study aims to disclose Tui Na massage implementation to increase the toddlers’ appetite. Research Method: This study is a descriptive study in which it is involving 4 toddlers to be treated using Tui Na massage and vitamin to improve their appetite. The study examines the toddlers before and after being treated using Tui Na massage and vitamin. Result: The study reveals that the appetite loss is decreasing once the toddlers are given Tui Na massage therapy. Conclusion: Respondents 1-4 experience a significant decrease in appetite loss after being treated using Tui Na Massage and Vitamin.
