Abstract

One of the actions that can cause pain on babies is immunization through injection because it can traumatize either the children, the children family, health workers or the society. Warm compresses are convinced simply to be able to reduce pain on babies. Aside from warm effect, the warm compresses also havecutaneous stimulation effect by touching which induces the endorphins release so it blocks the pain stimulus transmission. This case objective is to evaluate the warm compresses given to the immunized babies on the decrease of the pain response. The author used subject with 4 respondents in Kedungjati Community Health Center area in Grobogan who were undergoing immunization. Meanwhile, the data collecting method used is interview technique and physical checkup. Analysis method used by the nursing process is illustrating the babies pain responses and conditions by giving warm compresses using observation sheets as measurement tools. After given the warm compresses application, there were changes on babies’ pain responses as the result.
