Abstract
ABSTRAK Pembelajaran sains yang diajarkan saat ini cenderung hanya menghadirkan konsep atau rumus, serta sedikit praktek sehingga siswa kurang mampu menggunakan konsep yang telah diajarkan jika menemui masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada sains materi fotosintesis juga dinilai karena belum adanya implementasi sains pada materi fotosintesis pada anak PAUD dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan dan menganalisis efektifitas metode demonstrasi sains pada anak usia dini pada materi fotosintesis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik PAUD/TK. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil pengamatan dan data-data penelitian tindakan menunjukan bahwa penerapan sains dengan metode demonstrasi meningkatkan ketrampilan dasar anak dalam aspek ketrampilan mengamati, membandingkan. Dengan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan acuan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dengan menemukan bahan ajar berbasis demonstrasi. Kata Kunci: Sains, Fotosintesis, Demonstrasi Abstract Science lessons being taught at this time tend to only present concepts or formulas, as well as a little practice so that students are less able to use the concepts that have been taught if they encounter problems in everyday life. Misconceptions that occur in the science of photosynthesis material are also assessed because there is no implementation of science on photosynthesis material in PAUD children in everyday life. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to apply and analyze the effectiveness of science demonstration methods in early childhood on photosynthetic materials. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects in this study were early childhood/kindergarten students. Based on the research conducted, the observation results and action research data show that the application of science using the demonstration method increases children's basic skills in the aspects of observing, comparing skills. With this research it is hoped that it can be used as a reference for further research by finding demonstration-based teaching materials. Keywords : Science, Photosynthesis, Demonstration
