Abstract

Latar belakang : Hampir semua anak SD mempunyai kebiasaan jajan. Jajanan anak sekolah merupakan masalah yang perlu diperhatikan karena makanan jajanan sangat beresiko terhadap cemaran biologis atau kimiawi yang dapat mengganggu kesehatan, baik jangka pendek seperti sakit perut maupun jangka panjang seperti kanker. Hasil pengawasan Pangan Jajanan Anak Sekolah (PJAS) yang dilakukan Badan POM pada tahun 2014 terhadap 10.429 sampel jajan menunjukkan hasil sebanyak 7.945 (76,18%) sampel memenuhi syarat dan 2.484 (23,82%) sampel tidak memenuhi syarat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas penyuluhan gizi dengan media flash card dan poster dalam peningkatan pengetahuan siswa SD tentang keamanan makanan jajanan sekolah di SDN Pandean Lamper 03 Semarang. Metode : Jenis penelitian menggunakan eksperimen semu (Quasi Experiment) dengan rancangan non equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Pandean Lamper 03 Semarang diambil dengan teknik proportional random sampling dengan besar sampel 58 orang. Sampel penelitian 29 orang sebagai kelompok perlakuan media flash card dan 29 orang sebagai kelompok perlakuan media poster. Uji statistik menggunakan Paired t-Test dan Independent t-Test. Hasil : Nilai rerata pada pengetahuan pre test dan post test dengan media flash card sebesar 13,24 dan 15,79, nilai rerata pada pengetahuan pre test dan post test dengan media poster sebesar 12,72 dan 13,62. Nilai peningkatan pengetahuan dengan media flash card sebesar 2,55 dan dengan media poster sebesar 0,90. Simpulan : Terdapat perbedaan efektivitas media flash card dengan poster dalam peningkatan pengetahuan siswa SD sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan tentang keamanan makanan jajanan sekolah yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai p = 0,000 (< 0,05). Kata kunci : media flash card, poster, pengetahuan, keamanan makanan jajanan sekolah. Background : Almost all elementary school children have a habit of snacking. Snacks of school children is a problem that needs to be considered because food snacks are at risk of biological or chemical contamination that can interfere with health, both short term such as abdominal pain or long term such as cancer. The result of supervision of Food Snack of School Children conducted by POM Agency in 2014 on 10,429 sample of snack shows the result of 7,945 (76,18%) qualified sample and 2,484 (23,82%) unqualified sample. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of nutritional counseling with flash card and poster media in improving the knowledge of elementary students about the safety of school snack food at Elementary School Pandean Lamper 03 Semarang. Method : This type of research uses quasi experiment with non equivalent control group design. The sample of the study was class IV Elementary School Pandean Lamper 03 Semarang taken with proportional random sampling with sample of 58 people. The sample of the study was 29 people as the treatment group of flash card media and 29 people as the treatment group of poster media. Statistical tests using Paired t-Test and Independent t-Test. Result : The mean value of pre test and post test knowledge with flash card media 13,24 and 15,79, mean value on pre test and post test with poster media 12,72 and 13,62. The value of knowledge enhancement with flash card media is 2,55 and with poster media of 0,90. Conclusion: There is a difference of effectiveness of flash card media with poster in increasing the knowledge of elementary students before and after being given counseling about food safety of school snacks shown by p value = 0,000 (<0,05).
