Abstract

Autism is a developmental disorder that is very complex neurobiological in life which include disorders of the aspects of social interaction, communication and language, and behavior. One therapy to improve language development and social personal ie micro role play therapy. Play therapy is a kind of play the role of micro-drama performed alone or alone. This study aimed to determine the effect of playing the role of micro therapy against personal and social development of language in children with autism SLB Negeri Semarang. The study design using pre experiment with using the approach of pre-post test design. Survey respondents as many as 34 respondents. Results showed before playing the role of 4 child therapy in the category of good development and sesudh therapy 8 children play a role in both categories. So there is the effect of play therapy micro teradap role of language and personal social development of children with autism in SLB Negeri Semarang (p value = 0.000; α = 0.05). This study can be used for school parties, namely SLB Negeri Semarang to simultaneously play and learning methods could be used also for therapy. The next study, expected to consider the homogeneity of respondents respondents.
