Abstract
Nutritional status is a condition that determined by the degree of physical need for energy and nutrients obtained from food intake whose physical impact can be measured. More nutritional status problems are generally caused by high food intake, but are not balanced by adequate physical activity. In adolescents, the food pattern that applied today is foods that are high in calories but contain little fiber. Intake of fruits and vegetables can prevent the occurrence of more nutritional problems. This study aims to determine the relationship of fruit level consumtion, vegetable consumption and physical activity with the nutritional status of adolescents in Muhammadiyah 1 High School Semarang. This research includes analytic research with Cross Sectional approach. Statistical test used Pearson Correlation. Sampling with Systematic Random Sampling technique. The sample size are 62 peoples. Data collection on the level of fruit and vegetable consumption using the 3x24 hour food recall method and physical activity data using the IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire). Nutritional status data was obtained by anthropometric measurements. The results showed that most of the respondents consumed fruit (58.1%), consumption of vegetables (74.2%). As many as (37.1%) respondents often do light activities. The nutritional status of the respondents was mostly normal (78.8%). A significant relationship was found between fruit consumption level and nutritional status in adolescents (p = 0.000), there was a significant relationship between the level of vegetable consumption and nutritional status in adolescents (p = 0.000), there was no relationship between physical activity and nutritional status in adolescents (p = 0.529). The conclusion of this study that there is a relationship between fruit, vegetable consumption and nutritional status in adolescents in Muhammadiyah 1 Semarang High School and there is no significant relationship between physical activity and nutritional status in adolescents in Muhammadiyah 1 Semarang High School Keywords: Physical Activity, Adolescence, Nutritional Status, Level of Fruit and Vegetable Consumption.
