Abstract

Breast Cancer has both physical and psychological effects. Breast loss due to mastectomy becomes a major problem in the image of a person's body. Body image is built by individual coping ability and social support obtained from family. Purpose: To know the correlation of coping source with post body image of mastectomy patient at RSI Sultan Agung Semarang. Method: This research design uses Quantitative type with Correlation Analytical approach. The sample of this study were 40 respondents by using Total Sampling Technique. Result: There is significant relation between koping source with body image with p-value = 0,01. Recommendations: To improve good coping in post patient mastectomy patients and families are taught how to divert thoughts of negatives and families is encouraged to always encourage and motivate.
