Abstract
Cholesterol levels have an important role in controlling hypertension disease. Cholesterol levels are largely determined by adherence to management for hypertensive patients such as gymnastics, knowledge of management, medical examinations and health counseling. This has been facilitated by the government through PROLANIS managed by BPJS. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in adherence following PROLANIS with cholesterol levels in patients with hypertension in Banjardawa Public Health Center Pemalang District. This research was a comparative descriptive research, while data collected using observation sheet and cholesterol check. The sampling of this research used total sampling with 45 respondents group B on PROLANIS with hypertension. The results showed that mean cholesterol levels of patients adherence to hypertension is 196, while the non-adherence mean is 275. The result of statistical analysis with Independent T test showed p-value 0.000 <0,05. The conclusion was a difference of adherence following PROLANIS with cholesterol level in patient of hypertension at Banjardawa Public Health Center Pemalang District. The suggestions based on the results of the study is expected to health agencies can improve compliance PROLANIS participants so as to maintain the stability of cholesterol levels in patients with hypertension.
